Favorite Soundtracks from Movies, TV Shows, and Video Games
Music plays a vital role in enhancing our experience with movies, TV shows, and video games. Composer's melodies can stick in our heads and become cherished memories. In this article, we celebrate some of the most beloved and memorable soundtracks that have captivated fans worldwide.
Movies and TV Shows
There are countless memorable soundtracks from films and TV shows that have enriched our entertainment. For instance, the iconic Raiders of the Lost Ark theme composed by John Williams is a classic that everyone recognizes. Even if you haven't seen the full series, just the mention of the movie brings the theme to mind. Similarly, the score for National Treasure stands out with its unique and otherworldly sound, making it a standout in the soundtrack realm. The Treasure Planet soundtrack, composed by Randy Newman, is nothing short of gorgeous. It transports listeners to a different world and adds a magical touch to the film.
Video Game Soundtracks
Video game soundtracks have their own charm and can evoke feelings of nostalgia and joy. One of my all-time favorite video game soundtracks is Final Fantasy VII with its powerful and hauntingly beautiful track, "On the Other Side of the Mountain." Another standout is the whimsical, nostalgic tune, "The Flute Boy’s Theme" from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Hunter x Hunter's opening theme is another masterpiece that I cannot get enough of. Its rhythm and hype truly set you up for an adventure. Even The King and I and South Pacific from classic musicals by Richard Rodgers are unforgettable. The West Side Story soundtrack, composed by Leonard Bernstein, is also a favorite. Every piece from Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 leaves a lasting impression.
Favorite Soundtracks Across the Board
As with most things in life, it's practically impossible to pick one soundtrack as a favorite. However, I've compiled a list of the soundtracks I love the most, in no particular order:
